Continuing Medical Education - New Regulatory Change
The Medical Board of California has adopted new regulations regarding Continuing Medical Education (CME). This change directs licensees to complete at least 50 hours of approved CME during the renewal cycle, which is the two-year period immediately preceding the expiration date of the license.
This change is being implemented to reduce confusion for licensees as they verify compliance with CME requirements. The change took effect on January 12, 2009.
